AUDIT SERVICES

WHAT IS A CONSTRUCTION AUDIT AND HOW CAN IT HELP YOUR PROJECT?

A project to make sure that Sri Arc Construction is operating properly and in accordance with the contract. A construction audit is an essential tool for keeping things on schedule and under budget because building projects often involve numerous entities conducting a lot of concurrent activities.

There are four reasons why doing a construction audit could be a crucial tool for your project:

1) Aids Cost Recovery

Costs at the construction site can change throughout the course of a project and, without adequate controls, can easily get out of hand. This has led to numerous controversies. A construction audit can assist in determining which party should bear which expenditures in accordance with the terms of the contract and helps keep projects within budgets.

2) Improves Internal Controls

Being unable to adhere to the project’s parameters often leads to conflict on construction sites. Project managers are tasked with monitoring the execution of all parties’ specified tasks, the accuracy of the project plan, and the application of safety precautions. A construction audit verifies that project managers are carrying out their responsibilities properly.

3) Determines the Project Progress

The ability to ensure that deadlines are met makes construction audits crucial. To accurately determine what stage a project is at, a construction auditor will travel to the job site, check on the status, and interact with staff. They will be able to determine whether the project will be completed on time, early, or late. From a financial perspective, many construction firms charge customers in accordance with the extent of the project completion. If the project has reached a point where an invoice is necessary, construction audits can let all involved parties know.

4) Ensure Safety

To ensure that a safe workplace is being provided for employees, construction auditors might examine protocols relating to hazardous chemicals, tools, and even walkways.
